IE sucks. It turns out that document.getElementById(someValue) will return an element with name = someValue if present, and then look for an element with id = someValue. And I spent an hour trying to figure out why a simple 3-line script was not working…

My desktop wallpaper for now: I had stopped using desktop wallpapers for the longest time—just a blank, black screen would suffice. I got tired of that recently, and have started looking for good images like this ever since.
I was looking at some Leopard demos, and couldn’t help noticing how gorgeous the desktop looks in this video.
Safari for Windows: it’s slightly faster at rendering than Firefox, but not much else is going in its favour.
You know, as much as I love using the keyboard for anything and everything, the mouse can sometimes be useful as well. Using a keyboard is fast. I don’t exactly ‘touch-type’—I type using my own weird style with predominantly the left hand. Which, incidentally is something I’ve wanted to rectify, and I keep getting tempted [...]
