I’m Ankit Solanki, an Indian and a programmer. Guess that makes me just a needle in the haystack or something. This is my site. Please don’t ask me what simulacra means, I’ve written about it before. Check out the first post. It’s not easy to write a one-page description of yourself. If I do start, I don’t think I’ll stop at a page anyway. If you have to form an opinion about me, browse thro’ the archives for a bit. Do feel free to contact me. I usually respond, as long as I understand what’s written. Ah, we’ve reached the geek stuff now. simulacra.in is hosted at Dreamhost, and will remain there as long as there are no major problems. I write my stuff in markdown form, and then copy-paste the generated HTML here. Real men don’t use rich text editors. This of course is a Wordpress blog. I haven’t been through the innards of Wordpress yet, whatever customizations I’ve done so far are mainly cosmetic. The cool design (in my opinion) you see on this site is courtesy the Simplr theme for Wordpress. I just love it. I’ve so far hacked up asides support for the theme using a combination of the Mini Posts Wordpress plugin, Wordpress widgets, and tweaking of the theme code.
