Bradbury

I finally ordered Bradbury’s Something Wicked This Way Comes yesterday. I think it’s been five years now since I decided to buy that book—somehow I’ve managed to always put it off till now. Have too many expectations now, hope it’s great.

Popular.

I’ve taken the plunge and started reading ‘popular’ authors… Have finished two of Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time books, am almost done with the third. Also finished a couple of Asimov books (Foundation series). I try to avoid old classics of the genré because I don’t have any self control when it comes to books. [...]

The Name of the Wind

Usually, books dont’t live up to their hype; The Name of the Wind1 is a nice exception. It really is as good as people say it is. I really got into reading around 2003-2004… College was really boring, and there were still a couple of years left. Once I started reading, I couldn’t stop. I [...]

Temeraire

June end-ish — probably going [...]

World Book Fair, Delhi

I went to the Delhi’s World Book Fair (2008) on Sunday, and here’s the result: My pile is on the left, my roommate’s on the right. It was huge, I could’t even see all the stalls. I had a hard time deciding what to leave behind, but finally limited my spending to around 2k. Prices [...]
