Along with my monthly stock of new books, I ordered two copies of Heroes Die today. I already have a copy, but I figure I’ll keep one as a spare, and one to maybe gift to some nascent bibliophile. Blade of Tyshalle is already sold out (and secondhand copies are selling for upwards of 40US$), [...]

My Sennheiser 201 ’phones broke within a year of buying them—I was too rough on the poor things. I got myself a Sennheiser HD 202 instead yesterday—it seems to sound even better and looks a lot more durable.

After painful deliberation, I’ve finally ordered my own digital camera. I’ve ordered it via Amazon, because I love their customer service; and they’re cheap. Amit’s going to receive it in the ’States and carry it to India for me. I decided to get a Panasonic DMC-TZ4. It has an amazing Leica lens that provides 10x [...]

Nikhil had written about Landmark launching its own online store some time back; so I was very eager to check it out. The site seems nice, but the pricing’s off. They always list a higher price than Sify for the same book, and Sify actually sells books via Landmark. Sify doesn’t charge for shipping, but [...]

I ordered a couple of books from Abebooks.com on Monday, and they’ve already been shipped from the vendors. Loving the service, no Indian site has been this prompt. Just have to wait out the 20-30 days’ international shipping time now… The books were cheap, including the shipping cost. Am also loving the Dollar’s slump against [...]

Indiaplaza.in has started spamming me with promotional emails. No more shopping there, unless I get a really great deal.

I bought a WiFi router (Netgear WGR614) the day-before. Wireless-ness feels good.
