Agnostic thoughts

Prélude: Every once in a while, I get the urge to write something ‘serious’. I always feel embarrassed afterwards, but what the hell, I’m posting this anyway.

I wouldn’t go so far as to call myself an atheist—other people can claim that honour. Atheism is serious, and religion is something I don’t care for enough to refute. The big questions of faith all seem rather silly to me at times—so I guess I must be agnostic.

I’m quite busy—religion is a hobby I just haven’t got the time for. As far as I can tell, I will continue to remain busy for the time being; so no religious ramblings for some time yet.

I seriously don’t get what all the fuss is about. Sure, witnessing religious mania does provide one with a lot of mocking opportunities. But after a while, even mockery gets tiring; it turns sad.

I used to call myself an atheist, but am too exhausted with all the questions that inevitably follow that proclamation. So here’s to being agnostic.
