Obligatory year-end post

OK, it’s been quiet over here for some time. I went to Mysore on the 20th, and spent around eight hectic days working there. It was a lot of fun, and very tiring. This was the first time I’d been to the south, so I was really excited.

I had written a very long-ish post about my journey there, but now it’s stale now; and on re-reading it, I don’t really like it. Too much verbosity equals boredom. So that’s scrapped.

I don’t really remember the journey back—was a little feverish on that day, so wasn’t really paying attention.

I’ll be spending tonight at home, reading. I hate loud places, detest crowds. I have a really nice book I’ve just started reading, and am not at all inclined to put it down tonight.

I’ll bet I have more fun than most of you lot.

No new year resolutions for me, thank you. And please don’t ask again.

I’ve got a couple of trips planned for next year—looking forward to mountains and cold places. The first one is almost certainly on-track, and the second one promises to be amazing if I can pull it off. Adventure time!

If I can pause my reading for a few minutes, I’ll probably usher in the new year by listening to a bit of Bach. Rituals are fun, as long as you are the one making them up.
