World Book Fair, Delhi

I went to the Delhi’s World Book Fair (2008) on Sunday, and here’s the result:

World Book Fair, Delhi

My pile is on the left, my roommate’s on the right. It was huge, I could’t even see all the stalls. I had a hard time deciding what to leave behind, but finally limited my spending to around 2k. Prices were OK—not too reasonable, but the sheer amount of choice makes up for the rates.

Most of the major publications had their own stall—when I realized this, I quickly went and was looking up all my favourite genré publishers. Sadly, no sign of Tor, Pyr, or Del Ray. It’s sad that there’s such a small market for SFF in India.

I was even hoping to catch a glimpse of Subterranean, but didn’t realistically expect them there.

Nopes, the ones at the bottom are old books, we just piled ’em there to give the pic a sense of symmetry :)
